How To Eliminate Word Fillers

play

Course details

Have you ever spoken to someone and noticed that they repeated a word frequently in the conversation? They may say, “you know what I mean?” or “like” or “uh/um” or “so.” You probably do know someone who is like this and understand how distracting the use of a word filler can be. The word filler “you know what I mean?” is especially confusing because you feel compelled to answer. After a while, it becomes a bit annoying to constantly respond. Word fillers are empty and meaningless words that don't add value to the content!

Another type of word filler in conversation is when someone strings sentences together with “and” or “so.” When someone overuses this type of word filler, sentences begin to sound like they all run together.

This lesson is all about adding pauses (silence) to create a more credible and polished speaker.

In this short course you will learn:

  1. When to pause and how long pauses should be.
  2. The #1 strategy to use to help you pause.
  3. How to systematically rid yourself of this habit

As you present your next presentation, you will sound polished and natural. Your listener will be compelled to listen to you because you won't have this distraction! Sign-up below!
